Follow road no. 160, signed "Orust", past the Rotvik Bridge, continuing to the Nötesund Bridge and Orust municipality. By busBuses to Orust depart from Stenungsund, Kampenhof in Uddevalla and the Nils Ericson Terminal in Gothenburg. Buses from Gothenburg go direct to Orust; from other destinations it is necessary to change in Stenungsund. The main bus intersections on Orust are at Henån and Varekil. By trainThe nearest train stations are in Stenungsund and Uddevalla. You can also take the train to Gothenburg and continue by bus. By airFrom Landvetter, take the airport bus to the Nils Ericson Terminal in Gothenburg for onward connections - read more on the Landvetter page on the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration's website (also in English). From Säve airport, take the bus to Gothenburg or Kungälv. If you are driving yourself, it is easiest and quickest to head eastwards and follow the signs to the E6 towards Oslo. There are no buses from Trollhättan-Vänersborg airport (Malöga). By car take road no. 44 to Uddevalla, turn off at Torp shopping centre outside Uddevalla, and then follow road no. 160, signed "Orust". Orust municipality is served by the following ferry lines: • Dragsmark (Uddevalla municipality) - Ängön, Flatön • Kolhättan (outside Stenungsund) - Svanesund • Lyr - Orust • Malö - Orust • Käringön - Hälleviksstrand (passenger ferry) • Gullholmen - Tuvesvik (passenger ferry) Note that Gullholmen and Käringön are car-free islands.
